SIAC is pleased to announce that it has rejuvenated its Young SIAC group by rebranding the group as “YSIAC” and forming a new Committee to spearhead and implement initiatives.
YSIAC aims to promote the use of international arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, both regionally and internationally, and to provide a platform for young professionals to work together to address the unique challenges faced by the legal and business communities across a diverse range of Asian jurisdictions and cultures.
YSIAC initiatives will include the publication of a YSIAC newsletter, contribution of articles and blogs and organisation of activities ranging from seminars and symposia to social and networking events. The latest YSIAC Conference may be viewed here.
The objectives of YSIAC are:
- To provide a platform to encourage and promote events and initiatives for nurturing and giving opportunities to young arbitration practitioners all over the world as counsel, arbitrators, tribunal secretaries and speakers at SIAC events;
- To facilitate networking amongst young arbitration practitioners all over the world and provide opportunities to engage with international arbitration practitioners to network and promote the sharing of knowledge, insights and expertise;
- To organise events and activities with SIAC; and
- To promote SIAC and SIAC’s rules and procedures.
